The Marie Drake Planetarium is a unique Juneau resource. It
allows us to model the sky even when the weather is miserable! It
has a 30 foot domed ceiling equipped with a powerful projector.

The Planetarium is located downtown on Glacier Highway in the
Marie Drake Building (between Harborview and High School).

An astronomy show is presented the last Tuesday of every
month. Other shows and events given periodically.

Speakers are available (at no charge) for school classes and
community groups.

Shows and events are always FREE but donations are welcome.
Inexpensive, fun astronomcal items are for sale at each show. We
have planetarium bumper stickers for $3.00. There are also free
items e.g Astronomy Coloring Pages and name a star certificates.

The planetarium has been run by volunteers for twenty years. The
facility may rented from Community Schools.

The planetarium also has several permanent community projects.
